All’inaugurazione saranno presenti i due artisti. OPENING OF THE ART EXHIBITION AT THE CONTINI ART GALLERY WITH THE ARTISTS ARLATI AND FIORE Traduzione Eleonora Colli Today, December 29th at 6.30 pm at Piazzetta Silvestro Franceschi 7, Stefano and Riccarda Contini will welcome visitors to the opening of an art exhibition devote to two leading figures in the contemporary Fine Arts: Mario Arlati ed Enzo Fiore.  Color and substance are the main features of their works. “Color tries to prevali over substance, to show itself aggressively and yet casually over the worn stucco in these works of art, to allow emotions and feelings to be understood by the observers. Substance is a form of expression which replaces “traditional” artistic mediums, such as piantino or drawing. It is a subject, it is the heart and soul of a powerful and yet refined art”, explains Contini. Mario Arlati belongs to the material Informalism movement, even though it is not possible to categorize his artistic style so strictly. The gallerist explains that the “bodies” of Arlati’s paintings are much more than they look like: they are earth, nature that suddenly tears itself apart, thereby letting observers catch through the cracks a glimpse of color, of life. The shades range from cold colors like blue and black (shades and darkness) to yellow and red (light and passion). White, the color of lime, conveys emotions as well (purità and a sense of totality). Arlati’s paintings express duality both in their form (lime /color) and essence (body/soul). Enzo Fiore’s works express material and conceptual depth through portraits or landscapes that accurately reproduce the originals: they testify to his unique and high-quality technique. As the observers get closer to the paintings, their attention slowly but consciously mores to the materials used by the artist, even though it is captured first by the tridimensionality of his works. Thus, visitors experience a whirlwind of amazement, curiosity, reflection, admiration, and awe. The organic material, skillfully arranged, changes the observers’ way of perception: life and death, creation and destruction, soul and subitanee coexist and are evoked by every inca of the painting. The subjects’ essence and personality are wellknown. However, their greatness gets lost in the matter, as if to demystify its substance or to remino us that dust will return to dust. This is an exhibition that must be seen in order to understand more deeply the essence of contemporary art. At the opening the two artists will be present. In addition, to celebrate the opening, the new wine of the Tenuta 2Castelli will be presented. Its label has been created exclusively by Mario Arlati.
